The Canada China Trade Innovation Alliance (CCTIA) is registered in Canada as a non-profit organization to facilitate the advancement of innovative bilateral trade as well as to promote cultural and technology exchange between businesses in Canada and China and to generate successful business development opportunities in both countries.
The CCTIA head office is located in Toronto, Canada. The organization is built on a foundation of successful Canadian and Chinese business members representing a range of key industries such as agriculture, food, manufacturing, technology, education and services. Our members share the common goal of entrepreneurial business development through the pursuit of enhanced bilateral trade opportunities between China and Canada.
The CCTIA provides opportunities to assist Canadian entrepreneurs in establishing and growing their businesses in China, and to support Chinese entrepreneurs in establishing and expanding their business presence in Canada.
The Canada China Trade Innovation Alliance’s mission is to generate enhanced opportunities for the promotion of bilateral trade and innovation between Canadian and Chinese businesses through the sharing of experiences and a collective wealth of knowledge and by providing access to an extensive scope of contacts and business development resources.
From the very early stages of inception to well established businesses, we will provide an innovative perspective to build unique approaches for fostering business development initiatives and for supporting our members' growth and success. We’ll use our collective passion and knowledge to create a platform of long-term, mutual benefits for all of our stakeholders.
Canada • China Food Innovation Trade Forum & Show
From April 28 to May 1, 2016,the Canada China Trade Innovation Alliance (CCTIA) hosted the first ever Canada • China Food Innovation Trade Forum & Show.The goal of this event was to promote food innovation and establish new trade relations between Canada and China.

- Professional associations and Ontario companies

Feedback from Participants:
Participants from Canada and China were able to exchange ideas, explore joint venture opportunities and discuss exports to China. The Food Distributors and Retailers from China have stated that “this event has successfully opened new doors for the exporting of ‘Made in Canada’ food products and baking ingredients into China”.
- Intention of Purchase: After one week of face to face meetings and negotiation, Chinese Enterprises and Canadian Companies have agreed to more than ten intention of purchase
- Joint Ventures: discussed plans for joint ventures in Canada and China
- New Partnership Developed: CCTIA has reached a strategic partnership agreement with All-China Bakery Association to help Canadian manufacturers enter the market in China.
CCTIA Holiday Celebration – December 9, 2015
CCTIA held a networking event, in celebration of our achievements in 2015, and announce plans for the ‘Canada China Food Innovation Trade Forum & Show’ in April 2016.
CCTIA Official Launch Event – October 9, 2015
The CCTIA hosted a successfully Launch Conference on Oct 9th, 2015. The conference received greeting letters from several local, provincial and national government officials. Manufacturing, importing and exporting, and various business association leaders were also in attendance.
CCTIA Business Mission to China – Nov 14 to 24, 2015
The CCTIA went on to lead a group of eight Canadian entrepreneurs on a Business Mission to China from Nov 14 to 24 2015. They visited world-class manufacturing plants and retail chain stores to gain knowledge of the Chinese market and organizational culture. From 19- 21 Nov, delegates participated in the International Fair in which CCTIA was an overseas organizer and exhibitor. CCTIA Chair, Jaclyn Zhang, delivered a speech on “Cooperation & Innovation between Canada and China”, which was well received among the local Chinese and Overseas entrepreneurs (from 36 visiting countries) in attendance.
Plan for 2017: CCTIA is planning to hold the second Canada China Food Innovation Trade Forum & Show in Guangzhou, China and will be recruiting qualify Canadian and US companies to attend the event with a proposed date of May 2017.
